Digital Video Recording with VDR

The Video Disk Recorder (VDR), written by Klaus Schmidinger, is a state of the art video recording application for Linux, turning a quite normal PC into a full multimedia station including receiving digital TV channels, recording, cutting and burning recordings onto DVD. This lecture will cover the basics of VDR, the hardware requirements and -- for experienced users -- an overview on furture features and the current development.
