Abstract
The speech will introduce you into SMTP Authentication and certificate based relaying based on Transport Layer Security keywords: Cyrus SASL, Postfix, SMTP AUTH, TLS
User habits on the internet evolved over the years. They demand for concepts that support their mobility, while being safe at the same time.
SMTP Authentication and Transport Layer Security serve to implement such functionality with Postfix. The talk will introduce you into both concepts, show their limitations and how to implement them safely.
Required knowledge:
A fluency in English, and an interest in the technical details of SMTP and DNS should suffice. Some postmaster and network administration experience would be helpful.
